At POWERGEAR, we are not only dedicated to crafting cutting-edge lighting track systems for the professional lighting market, but we also prioritize the preservation of our planet for future generations. From product design to manufacturing processes, we strive to integrate sustainability into everything we do. We believe that by embracing sustainable practices, we can meet the needs of our customers, also can make a positive impact on the world.
LET'S GO GREEN
POWERGEAR regards reducing greenhouse gas emissions as its top priority. Since 2021, we have conducted annual greenhouse gas inventories and verifications in accordance with the ISO 14064 standard. Through various targeted energy-saving initiatives, we have continuously reduced our organizational carbon footprint. Over the past few years, we have significantly lowered our overall carbon emissions and consistently achieved an annual reduction of at least 10%, demonstrating our long-term commitment to sustainable development.
POWERGEAR is committed to reducing the carbon footprint throughout the entire product lifecycle. All the aluminum we use is produced with hydropower — a clean and renewable energy source that significantly lowers carbon emissions during the raw material production stage.
In addition, in July 2024, we completed the first product carbon footprint assessment for POWERGEAR’s key products in accordance with the ISO 14067 standard. This comprehensive assessment examined the environmental impacts across all stages—from raw materials and manufacturing to transportation—and provided us with valuable data insights that serve as the foundation for our ongoing carbon reduction initiatives.
Hydroelectric Aluminum refers to aluminum produced using electricity generated from hydropower sources, offering a sustainable alternative to conventional aluminum production methods.
